Machining is a process of changing the dimensions or properties of a workpiece with a machining machine. According to the temperature state of the workpiece to be processed, it is divided into cold working and hot working. Generally, it is processed at room temperature and does not cause chemical or phase changes of the workpiece, which is called cold working. Generally, processing in a state higher than normal temperature will cause chemical or phase changes of the workpiece, which is called thermal processing. According to the difference in processing methods, it can be divided into cutting processing and pressure processing.
Cutting
The most important processing method in mechanical manufacturing. Although the manufacturing accuracy of blanks has been continuously improved, and the processing technologies such as precision casting, precision forging, extrusion, and powder metallurgy are widely used, due to the wide application range of cutting and the ability to achieve high precision and low surface roughness, in It still occupies an important position in the mechanical manufacturing process.
Pressure machining
The production method of using the plastic deformation of metal under the action of external force to obtain raw materials, blanks or parts with certain shape, size and mechanical properties is called metal pressure processing, also known as metal plastic processing.
Machining is most commonly used to manufacture metal objects, parts and tools
the metals that can be used for processing include common stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium and copper, as well as many other non-ferrous metal materials, alloys and inorganic materials. Stainless steel is usually used for precision machining and has the advantages of high strength and corrosion resistance. Aluminum is light, easy to use and cheap. Brass is another economical material for machining, but it is not used in semiconductor products because it contains zinc and tin. Titanium has high strength, light weight and corrosion resistance, but it is more expensive and difficult to process than other materials. Copper is a versatile and strong metal that can be used as a conductor. Plastics are inorganic materials and are also commonly used in machining because they are cheap and non-conductive. They are usually used in medical, electrical and scientific industries
Our common machining workshop tools
there are many kinds of machining tools, which can be used alone or in combination with other tools in each step of the manufacturing process. Some tools in the machining workshop have very special uses, while others are more versatile and can be used for many different purposes
Cutting processing
the cutting tools in the workshop include sawing machine, wire cutting, water cutting, laser cutting and other equipment, which are used to cut materials with specific and predetermined dimensions, and different processing equipment shall be selected according to different materials
Boring
the boring tool is used to enlarge or reshape the established hole, use the fixture to accurately locate the precise center of the hole, and use the horizontal boring machine for processing
Drilling
drilling is to form a round hole on the workpiece by processing means. Sometimes there may be a designated drilling machine for drilling or use specific tools (such as cemented carbide drilling), which can be connected to a compatible machine, such as a lathe or machining center
Turning
turning refers to clamping the workpiece to make it rotate at high speed, while using cutting tools to remove excess parts, so as to shape it into the required shape. Horizontal CNC lathe is the most commonly used type of lathe
Grinding
grinding refers to grinding or polishing the workpiece surface with a high-speed rotating grinding wheel. Grinding can deburr and remove the surface defects on the workpiece, so as to form a smooth surface
Milling
the milling machine uses a rotary cutting cutter head with multiple blades for milling flat and irregular surfaces, as well as drilling, cutting and slotting on the workpiece. CNC milling machine is the type we usually use
Single piece production
products of different structures and sizes are produced individually and rarely repeated.
mass production
the same products are manufactured in batches throughout the year, and the manufacturing process has certain repeatability.
mass production
the manufacturing quantity of products is large, and most workplaces often repeat the processing of a certain process of a certain part.
the above three production methods are acceptable. If you need them, please feel free to contact us!
