Selenium (Se) General Information：

Selenium is a non-metallic element with the chemical symbol Se. It is located in Group VI A (Element No. 34) in the fourth period of the periodic table of chemical elements. Among the six known solid allotropes, transparent crystals (α monoclinic, β monoclinic, and gray triangular crystals) are the most common. The gray hexagonal crystal system is the most stable and has a density of 4.81g/cm3. It also exists in the form of transparent crystalline solid: the red and black amorphous ones are initially brittle, with a density of 4.26g/cm3; a density of 4.28g/cm3; the other is colloidal silica gel.
