Overview
Physical and chemical properties
Molybdenum diselenide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula MoSe2. Melting point: 1200°C. CAS: 12058-18-3. Molecular weight: 253.86. Density: 6.9g/cm3.
Its structure is similar to that of MoS2. This class of compounds are called transition metal dichalcogenides, or TMDCs for short, which are compounds formed by transition metals and elements of group 16 on the periodic table. Compared with MoS2, MoSe2 exhibits better conductivity.
Application
Used as a semiconductor. Used in photovoltaic, optoelectronic, electronic industry, coating and other fields
