Overview
Physical and chemical properties
Indium oxide is an oxide with the formula In2O3. Melting point: 2000 ℃, relative molecular mass: 277.6342, CAS number: 1312-43-2, density: 7.179g/cm3 . The pure product is white or light yellow amorphous powder, which turns reddish brown when heated. Indium oxide is a new n-type transparent semiconductor functional material with wide band gap, small resistivity and high catalytic activity, and has been widely used in optoelectronics, gas sensors, and catalysts. In addition to the above functions when the size of indium oxide particles reaches the nanometer level, it also has the surface effect, quantum size effect, small size effect and macroscopic quantum tunnel effect of nanomaterials.
Application
It is used as a spectrally pure reagent and material for electronic components, etc.
It is used as a protective coating on the metal mirror surface, a semiconductor film for optoelectronic display, and also in the manufacture of indium salts and glass.
