Physical and chemical properties

High-purity molybdenum target is a silver-gray metal with a Mohs hardness of 5.5, a melting point of 2617°C and a density of 10.2g/cm3. Molybdenum targets are mainly used in the plasma sputtering industry. Under the action of the electric field, the electrons collide with the argon atoms when they fly to the substrate, and the argon atoms and the electrons are ionized. Electricity flies towards the substrate, argon atoms are accelerated to bombard the target, and neutral atoms (or molecules) in the target are deposited on the substrate and become a coating. We have strict requirements on component purity, density, microstructure, internal quality, welding quality, appearance quality and geometric dimensions of molybdenum targets.

Application of high purity molybdenum target

Due to the high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of molybdenum, molybdenum targets are widely used in petrochemical, aviation, machinery manufacturing, electronic semiconductor and other industries.
