Overview

Physical and chemical properties

Niobium nitride ceramic target is a nitride ceramic sputtering material with a melting point of 2468°C and a density of 8.57g/cm³. Niobium nitride is used in infrared photodetectors as well as in absorbing ARC coatings. When cooled to ~16 K, the material becomes a superconductor, which is where most of its uses come from. In this superconducting state, it is an integral part of astronomy and all types of telecommunications, as it is able to sense individual protons with wavelengths ranging from 1 mu to 10 mu.

Application

Niobium nitride targets are used in thin film deposition, decoration, semiconductors, displays, LED and photovoltaic devices, functional coatings and other optical information storage space industries, glass coating industries such as automotive glass and architectural glass, optical communications, etc.
